Antoine Riquier
OVERVIEW
Antoine is a commercial litigator with a particular focus on competition law litigation in the European jurisdictions, and especially France, the United Kingdom and The Netherlands.
Expertise
Much of his work involves follow-on cartel damages claims in the automotive/transport industry and in the retail sector.
Prior to joining Hausfeld, he worked in Brussels for a leading French law firm, focusing on cartel and exchange of information matters and on the implementation of compliance programs in various sectors. He also worked for a third-party litigation funder in Paris, where he dealt with complex international litigation, and managed thousands of clients in the Volkswagen “clean” diesel litigation.
Clients
Antoine represents thousands of clients, from SMEs to major listed companies active in the transport industry and established mainly in France, the United Kingdom, Spain and Belgium.
His client base is also made up of leading automotive manufacturers, which he assisted in pursuing damages claims relating to the bearings and spark-plugs cartels.
Antoine also acts on behalf of retailers harmed by several competition law infringements.

During his law school years, Antoine won a competition law moot court on a private enforcement case and pleaded in the final round in the first chamber of the Court of Appeal in Paris.
