The Wawa convenience store chain is facing a wave of lawsuits over a data breach that affected up to 850 Wawa locations along the East Coast and compromised at least 30 million debit and credit cards. On December 19, 2019, Wawa officials reported that the company had discovered the malware on its payment processing servers earlier that month and believed the malware had been collecting card numbers, customer names and other data since as early as March 2019.
Commenting on the appointment, Jeannine stated, “I am honored to be serving with such talented co-counsel and look forward to obtaining relief for credit unions and other financial institutions injured by this data breach."
