OVERVIEW

Jose focuses his practice on antitrust litigation. Jose earned his J.D. from William & Mary School of Law and LL.M. in Global Antitrust Law and Economics from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. During his time at George Mason, Jose was a recipient of the Global Antitrust Institute Award For Outstanding Performance in Antitrust Law and Economics and externed with the Federal Trade Commission’s Technology Enforcement Division. During his time at William & Mary, Jose served as Senior Notes Editor of the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review and externed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida with the Honorable Barry S. Seltzer.

- In re LIBOR-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litigation – Represents purchasers of over-the-counter (OTC) financial instruments with interest payments tied to the London Interbank Offering Rate (LIBOR) challenging the collusive manipulation of U.S. Dollar LIBOR by the world’s largest financial institutions.
- In re Pork Antitrust Litigation – Represents the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the first state plaintiff to pursue a direct action against the nation’s leading pork producers alleged to have conspired to artificially constrict the supply of pork products.
- Nosalek v. MLS Property Information Network, Inc. – Represents home sellers in Massachusetts against a multiple listing service and national real estate broker franchisors alleged to have conspired to require home sellers to pay the buyer’s broker.
- In re Foreign Exchange Benchmarks Rates Antitrust Litigation – Represented investors in the foreign exchange market against international banks alleged to have fixed the price of foreign exchange instruments.
