Debashish is an associate in Hausfeld’s San Francisco office, where his practice focuses on private antitrust enforcement via complex multidistrict litigation and class actions.

Expertise

Debashish’s experience includes pre-filing investigation, pleadings, dispositive motion practice, e-discovery negotiation and management, depositions, class certification, and mediation.

Prior to joining Hausfeld, Debashish spent five years with a leading plaintiff-side firm litigating securities class actions in federal courts across the country. In one of those cases, Debashish was a member of the trial team that secured a rare jury verdict holding a pharmaceutical corporation and its CEO accountable for their fraud upon a class of injured shareholders. And from his experience in the litigation finance space, Debashish is skilled at evaluating cases and making recommendations accordingly.

Debashish earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he served as a Staff Editor of Hastings Business Law Journal and a Senior Notes Editor of Constitutional Law Quarterly. During his time at UC Hastings, Debashish externed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California for the Honorable Laurel Beeler, and he also served as a teaching assistant in legal writing and moot court courses. Debashish earned his B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.
