Management changeover at Hausfeld Germany: Ann-Christin Richter to succeed Alex Petrasincu as Managing Partner

Effective January 1, 2025, Ann-Christin Richter will assume the role of Managing Partner at Hausfeld Rechtsanwälte LLP, succeeding Alex Petrasincu, who will transition to a full-time focus on client work as Head of Competition & Litigation.

Ann-Christin Richter, who has served as Deputy Managing Partner of Hausfeld Rechtsanwälte for the past two years, will take over the lead of Hausfeld Rechtsanwälte as Managing Partner. Recognized by Handelsblatt as one of Germany's top lawyers in antitrust, competition law, and dispute resolution in 2024, Ann-Christin has also been featured in rankings published by Chambers, Juve, and the Lexology Index (formerly Who's Who Legal). She first joined Hausfeld Rechtsanwälte as counsel in 2017, became a partner in 2019, and played a pivotal role in establishing the firm’s Hamburg office in 2023.

A noted expert in antitrust disputes, Ann-Christin Richter specializes in antitrust damages actions. She has achieved significant results, including obtaining preliminary injunctions for NetDoktor against Google and the German government. She also spearheads market abuse litigation against Big Tech companies.

After being at the helm for 6 years, Alex Petrasincu wants to now focus on client work, relationship management, and strategic coordination within the firm. Recently honored as Lexology Index’s Global “Competition Plaintiff Lawyer of the Year,” he is widely regarded as one of Germany's leading antitrust lawyers, and is consistently recognized by Juve, Legal 500, and Chambers. Since joining Hausfeld Rechtsanwälte in 2016 and becoming a partner in 2017, Alex Petrasincu has represented major retail clients in disputes involving electronic payment systems, as well as in damages actions against cartels in the automotive, power cable, and trucking industries. His work includes successfully representing Immowelt in injunction proceedings against Immoscout.

Brian Ratner, Global Co-Chair of Hausfeld, expressed his gratitude and confidence in the leadership transition: “We are proud that Ann-Christin will be our new Managing Partner in Germany. Her experience and vision will ensure a seamless transition, building on Alex’s outstanding work and stewardship over his long tenure. We thank Alex for his invaluable contributions to establishing our market-leading presence in Germany and look forward to him continuing to provide a significant impact in his new role.”
