GCR’s 11th Live Competition Litigation Conference

The Global Competition Review hosted their 11th Live Competition Litigation Conference on 3rd October 2019. High-level practitioners, in-house counsel, experts and academics travelled to London from around the globe, to connect with like-minded individuals and learn from expert panellists.

The conference explored a range of topics including how collective actions are becoming increasingly technical and provided some insight into how to deal with multiple claims in multiple jurisdictions. The sessions, which were discussion led, offered the audience an exclusive interactive opportunity to share their views on the competition litigation topics which were on everyone’s mind.

Laurent Geelhand, Managing Partner of Brussels and Paris and Partner in London, co-chaired the conference alongside Hogan Lovells’ Nicholas Heaton. Scott Campbell who heads up the Competition Disputes’ team in London, moderated the afternoon panel discussing ‘Settlements with the European Commission and their impact on damages claims’. They considered whether any amendments to the regime should be considered to protect the interests of parties affected by competition infringements.

The day concluded with more networking during a drinks reception.
