CLSG climate change panel discussion
Exploring how they can make a difference in the fight against climate change, City of London School for Girls, invited Human Rights and Environmental lawyer Wessen Jazrawi, to join a panel discussion titled ‘Climate change, which job roles really hold the key to making a difference'.
They wanted to find out more about how she worked with 16 young people from around the world, including Greta Thunberg, to file a ground breaking legal complaint about climate change to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child.
Other expert panellists were:
- Mary Starks, OFGEM
- Meaghan Muldoon, BlackRock
- Rowenna Trvellyan, Ocean Agency
- Claire Farrell, Extinction Rebellion
They are already taking action with making the school greener assisted by the student-led group Sustainability Committee and Plastic Action Group, but they wanted to know why the panellists believe their career path should be considered as one making a significant impact on climate change.
The session drew to a close with an interactive Q&A session.
