OPEN POSITIONS

A career with Hausfeld provides a distinctive opportunity to work at a different kind of law firm.

US

  • MID-LEVEL ASSOCIATE

Hausfeld LLP is accepting applications for an associate with two or more years of litigation and/or clerkship experience to join the firm’s San Francisco, Washington DC, New York, or Philadelphia office.

Associates at Hausfeld take a substantial role in investigating and analyzing potential claims, drafting legal memos, complaints, and briefs, managing all phases of discovery (including taking and defending depositions), preparing for and attending trials, and participating in settlement discussions, among other responsibilities. Although this position would be primarily focused on data breach and related litigation, there would likely be opportunities to work on matters in our other practice areas as well.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, a self-starter, highly organized, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities. A strong academic background and excellent writing skills and analytic ability are required, as is the ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Applicants should be enthusiastic about the firm’s mission-driven work and the opportunity to dive into complex problem-solving challenges, while gaining experience in every aspect of litigation. Applicants must be licensed and in good standing or eligible for admission in the District of Columbia, California, New York, or Pennsylvania.

Hausfeld offers generous benefits, including five weeks of paid time off and paid parental leave. Associates work a hybrid schedule and are encouraged to work in the office two days per week. Associates also have the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to four weeks per year.

Hausfeld is an Equal Opportunity Employer, offering employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, physical or mental disability, age, citizenship, pregnancy, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and national origin. Hausfeld is committed to promoting a diverse workplace. We strongly encourage candidates from under-represented backgrounds to apply.
