Eliza's practice focuses on both competition and commercial litigation.
Previously, at King & Wood Mallesons in Melbourne, Eliza gained considerable trial experience assisting in the long-running Cargill Malt Pty Ltd v Viterra Australia Ltd e-trial in the Supreme Court of Victoria. Within that proceeding, she also assisted in Court of Appeal and High Court appeals.
At Logie-Smith Lanyon, she gained in-depth experience in managing commercial disputes. Notably, Eliza obtained and executed an Anton Piller search and seizure order in an intellectual property dispute; represented directors and officers of financial services and investment vehicles under investigation by the companies and financial services regulator; acted on behalf of individuals accused of foreign bribery and corruption offences and represented individuals facing management banning orders, and financial services banning injunctions.
While practicing in Australia, she acted for large companies, directors and officers, SMEs and insolvency practitioners.
She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia, and has appeared on behalf of clients in those jurisdictions. Eliza is a registered foreign lawyer in the UK.
