From 1 October 2019, Hausfeld Partners Scott Campbell and Lianne Craig have respectively been appointed Head of Competition Disputes and Head of Commercial Disputes in London. This reorganisation follows Hausfeld’s recent announcement that Anthony Maton, a founding Partner of Hausfeld and the London office Managing Partner, has assumed the role of Vice Chair of the firm along-side US-based colleague, Brian Ratner, as part of the growth and leadership transition plan that the firm has been executing over the last several years.
Commenting on the appointments, Vice-Chair Anthony Maton said:
“In light of our continued growth, not only in competition disputes, but in the broader area of commercial disputes, we have appointed Scott and Lianne to provide leadership in London, both internally and externally, to these two core practices.”
Scott Campbell, continued:
"I pay tribute to the extraordinary team of individuals who have built Hausfeld’s market-leading reputation for successfully conducting competition disputes both here in London and throughout Europe. I think of our trailblazing work on the Air Cargo, Trucks, Interchange and Ball Bearings cartels cases – to name but a few recent examples – when I reflect on the excellent results that have shaped our reputation. We are poised to act on a whole slate of new and interesting cases, often with a technology angle. My aim is to further build on that pioneering spirit and achieve the best possible outcomes for our client base.”
Lianne Craig, added:
“It has been a great privilege to be part of Hausfeld’s success since I joined the firm nine years ago. The commercial team has grown from 2 to 6 Partners in the last 3 years and in addition to the strong reputation for banking and finance litigation we are known for, we are now well placed to deal with disputes containing a technology, general commercial or insolvency angle. This expansion has led to a stronger expertise offering for our clients and has resulted in more referral work. I am delighted to continue to grow and develop our commercial disputes practice in London.”
