Hausfeld has been appointed co-lead counsel for a putative class of direct purchaser plaintiffs of Korean Ramen Noodles. Plaintiffs allege that Defendants Nong Shim, Sam Yang, Ottogi, and Korea Yakult, and their subsidiaries conspired to fix the price of Korean Ramen in the United States and elsewhere. The Korean Fair Trade Commission has fined the Defendants more than $120 million for their anticompetitive conduct, which started as early as 2001. The firm’s clients are wholesalers and retail businesses that sell Korean Ramen in the U.S. The case is set for trial in November 2018.
