OVERVIEW

Jim's practice at Hausfeld currently focuses on environmental law. He has reviewed documents and done factual research in cases involving PFAS, 1,4-Dioxane and Ford’s dumping of toxic substances in rural northern New Jersey. He assisted in finding and checking citations in a human rights case and a climate change case.

In 2018, prior to joining Hausfeld, Jim had a yearlong fellowship with the U.S. House Oversight and Reform Committee, managing three hearings of the Interior, Energy and Environment Subcommittee and performing other investigations. While in California, Jim reported for the Daily Journal, the state’s largest legal newspaper, and did pro bono work in housing, environmental and family law. In Maryland, immediately after law school, Jim clerked for a Baltimore County Circuit Judge, assisting her in all manner of criminal and civil cases. While in law school, Jim spent a year in the environmental law clinic, working on cases that focused on Chesapeake Bay.
